Umesh Kumar's relationship with the company is as old as the company itself. More than a decade ago, Aye had opened its first office in Karampura, Delhi. Umesh had a small shop making and selling shoes in the bustling market there. Umesh vividly recalls the moment he met Aye’s founder, who took the time to explain the company’s purpose and spent hours understanding his business. That personal touch left a lasting impression on Umesh, who was taken in by the earnestness and passion of the man he met.

Over the years, Umesh’s business has blossomed using a series of working capital loans from Aye. Today, his shoes can be found in well-known shops across the vibrant commercial markets such as Karol Bagh and Nangloi in Delhi. With the expansion of online shopping, his products have also gained popularity on platforms like Meesho, allowing him to reach a broader customer base.
The Impact
His dream of a big shop, selling products across the country and of providing a good comfortable life for his family was being realised. "I am very happy with how far my business has come", Umesh adds with pride "I am equally happy that Aye has become so big, helping many customers like me". We asked him why he stayed with Aye for so long, when he had plenty of options. "I had no reason to take my business elsewhere. I continue to get the same personalized service from the branch as I used to ten years ago. It is a matter of pride for me that I was one of your first customers. I hope to see you grow to a 1000 branches some day."
